How do i impress the softball coach??

ok so im trying out for the softball team and im only a 7th grader...usually they put eigth and ninth graders on the team...how do I impress the coaches so I have a likely chance of getting on the team??? theres about 45 girls trying out and only like 6...

of them are 7th graders so I do I show I am capable of getting on the team??

make sure you give it your all. dive for balls, take risks on the basepath. they want to see that you are aggressive and ready to do what it takes. also try to show leadership qualities without taking over too much. dont get pushed around by others just because you are younger. this is the time to make the best impression you can.

and become likable. try to make friends with people already on the team. be polite to coaches. ask them how they are, show that you are nice and polite person that they will want on the team.

if the coaches get to know you personally, even if it is just with a quick 'how are you, they remember you over the other 45 girls. then you have a better chance of making the team.

and they probably want at least one 7th grader on the team to stay there for the next few years, so at least try beating out the other 7th graders. and show your commitment to the team.
