How do I get over rejection from my father?

I asked my mom if I could go live with my dad who is across the country and when she talked to him he said he would talk it over with his wife. Its been 2 weeks and Im so scared if he says no because it feels like my own dad doesn't want me what should I do?

I am sure your dad wants and loves you, so I would not interpret it like that at all. He has a new wife and it may be hard for him to care for you at this moment due to financial and personal issues. I am almost positive your dad 'wants' you because you are his daughter and he loves you! If he says no, talk to him about it. Call him and see what the conflict was. I bet it would not be a personal issue like not wanting you at all! Best of luck!

Why don't you want to live with your mum? You're a girl so wouldn't staying with your mum be better than living with your dad and stepmum?

even if he does say "no" just know that it isn't because he doesn't love you or doesn't want you to be near him. it's really not an easy decision because theres school, finances, his new wife etc..

your dad loves you don't worry about it, whatever the outcome.
