How do I become more popular?

Okay, I've seen other questions out there like mine. And some of them say like being popular isn't everything. I don't want to be popular popular, I just want to have more friends, and be cool. And I've also read on other questions that I just need to be nice, and be myself. I am nice. But like when people say something like "Hey loser!" I'll go over and hit them (playing around.) Could that be one of the reasons why I'm not as "cool" as I want to be?

be really funny and friendly to people! trust me when your nice to people there going be nice back!
and dont say stupid things! or dont do stupid things!

Talk to EVERYONE!!
Seriously, even people you don't like, when you walk past them say hi, if you like the person start up a conversation. And if you don't, talk about something you have in common. That person will think you're pretty cool if you have something in common with the person who doesn't like you/bullys you etcetc.

(Just don't be a suck up.)

Anyways, At the start of my year, I talked to everyone, and the people I didn't know I said "I don't know you but I'm gunna say hi anyway!" and now, from that a lot of those people are really close to me.

Im not what you consider popular, but from talking to everyone, I've made a lot of friends. Try it, you've got nothing to loose!

Start hanging out with more people. Talk to people. Find your crowd or start 1 of your own. It's simple. Dress like everyone but in your own little style. yeah, it works.

everyone says the same thing that doesn't really help,
first, be4 you start being nice to EVERYONE
get to know yourself. know who you are, what you like
and you don't have to be friendly to everyone because not everyone is friendly
maybe find something you like to do like sports anything try out and you'll make new friends be happy smile more it shows that youre friendly without saying hello to EVERYONE in the hallway !!!
