How can I make myself popular?

How can I become popular ? I was very shy last year but I want to overcome that. So how can over come being shy ?

I dont think it should be about wanting to be popular,
more like wanting to be more outgoing, and sociable.
just be yourself, and if people dont like you for that-
they wouldnt be a good friend anyway.
be open to knew people.

Start by trying to talk to the people in your fave class ( when school starts ) Right now, try talking to your neighbors. Just push it a little farther every day, week, or even month. Remember, once you start, you won't stop: TRUST ME try talking to the popular group in your school. Maybe even start hanging out with the geeks, and you will be asked to join the popular group. I don't know..just hope this works!1

who cares if your popular or not? im not being big headed but believe me being popular isnt the best thing in the world. I was popular before I left school and you have to worry about everything and you have to keep your expectations up otherwise you will start to get looked down on. there was soo many days that I looked at un popular people and wished I was them so that I had no attention on me. just act your self and if you become popular then good for you and good luck

I used to have the same problem. its not exactly easy to become popular. maybe you could start to talk to the poular group and they will probably except you for who you are. not all the popular people are all mean and bad so just give it a try. also if you noticed most of them wear hollister abercrombie and american eagle. maybe you could go out and buy from those stores. But just remember just because your popular in high school or middle school it doesnt mean your gunna be after graduation. everyone goes there seperate ways then popularity doesnt matrer.
