Halloween origanated as the Pagan Holiday Samhain (Sowen). It is one of the most important holidays in my faith. Samhain simply means summer's end. It is also known as the Witches New Year to some. Also around this time is when the veil between the living and the dead is the thinnest. Which makes it a wonderful time to honor our ancestors,friends and other familiy members who have passed on.
The term Halloween is short for All Hallows Eve. The eve of All Hallows Day.
