How can i make my belly infection heal?

Asked by blondebabe246 about 1 month ago, 1 answer.

I have had my belly pierced for over 6months now and I know it can take up to 6months to a year for it to heal but my belly had constanly been red ever since I got it done. I am a swimmer though and train in chlorine pracically everyday so it is always...

wet. Is there any way or any product I can buy to dry it out. some friends said use peroxide but when I read up about it others say no. I got frustrated the other night and just poured so straight salt on it and is stung for the whole night but I think it might have helped it. What should I do? please help

The chlorine won't hurt it, much, but being exposed to bacteria will delay healing. Don't use peroxide, that will kill healthy cells as well as bacteria. Have you tried some antibacterial ointment? Just slather it on and ask your pharmacist if he has any waterproof dressings. You want if free of bacteria and moist, with no chafing from your pants/swimsuit.
