How to keep my laptop's internet connection?

I think my laptop has a virus from the varius things my bro dose on it, anyways it loses connection with the internet randomly, I would be doing something, such as working on a online project for this online class I'm in, it always seems to be right when I'm almost finished- Boom, it loses connection, unable to send, I need to restart the laptop because it dosen't pic up our internet after it loses connection. So now I got my first 'D' this year because I missed a test.

why dont you buy a anti virus and spyware cd to clean it I did that and it works now ihad that same problem with my laptop it was really annoying but yeah just go to a store that sells electronics and computer and ask them for the cd.
