How can i get my hair to grow faster?

M'kay so I had hair that went down to where my boob stopped.
I had choppy layers.
and I went to the hair place majiggy, and I guess the lady heard me wrong or something.
I asked for a trim to about 2 inches under my shoulder.
Instead the lady cuts it...

above my chin,the layers are aweful,I look like a coconut.
Are there any tips on how to get my hair to grow longer?
products?anything?
Oh, and about how long would it take for my hair to grow about two inches without any growth stuff?

please help!

if you brush it well, it can grow up 2 an inch a month.

just stop going to the hair place for a while.
thats what I decided to do a year ago- only got my hair cut 2 times since then and its already like 5/6 inches longer.

hair growth takes time.
dont do anything stupid like using bleach instead of shampoo.
