I have very good reasons to cut myself, but I need to stop in sake of my little sister and girlfriend, and for my best friend, she has it hard enough. I need good advice, ut none about getting help. For hte past 2 years I refused it, so there is no use in even recoending it. I've tried to stop but it seems impossible..

So don't do any of those things.
Read a book.
Write a poem.
Play guitar hero.
Sing a song.
Fly a kite.

There are tons of fulfilling activities that do not involve damaging yourself.

First, you need to know that there is no good reason to cut yourself. Ever. I don't care if your whole family leaves you, and your dog dies. Never a good reason to cut yourself.
Before you tell me "I don't understand"--yes I do. I myself used to cut, and I have the scars to prove it.
You need to realize that cutting yourself is not going to help you, and it will only serve as a permanent reminder of your pain, and how you didn't deal with it maturely.

As for reducing the urge, I found that just stopping all at once was fine. Find a reason to stop, and STOP.

it's an addictive pain you need something to replace it...
everytime you feel the need to cut ring you're girlfriend or tell her to come over or something.
Just find something to replace the pain anything, learn a talent, excersise

but another healthy way to hurt urself
are sports

or just work out,
its not hurting urself
but if you do it enough to take your mind off things
it will reduce your urges, and make you pretty damn sore lol

You need to understand something. Cutting is a thought, not an urge, not a feeling, it's a though associated with a feeling. You also need to know there is no "good reason" to cut yourself. I use to think I had good reasons but I didn't. I began thinking that it does give me instant gratification but just like drugs or alcohol I wake up and the initial thoughts, feelings, and pains are still there. To stop I would suggest writing out reasons why you want to cut, write about how you are feeling and why. Write about what cutting will do for you, how you will feel while doing it and after doing it. Then ask yourself do I really need to hurt myself. It won't be easy to stop right away, but with time you'll stop. It'll be a little frustrating as well becuase you won't be use to actually dealing with your emotions but work through it and each time it will get easier.
