How will i survive high school?

ok so its summer and next year I will be in 9th grade. my first year of high school. iam so scare out of my mind!!! I don't know why either! all my friends are excited and cant wait but iam totally terrified. I have been having dreams about my first day....

iam so scared. what is it really like???
middle school was HELL for me from the end of 7th grade all through 8th grade. all the kids are so mean and all my friends are backstabbers. I guess iam just afraid that high school will be worse and I don't know if I can take anymore of this bullshit. iam think bout asking my mom to send me to a private school but I would miss my mom and my sister WAY WAY WAY WAY to much I couldnt do it. I have 2 best friends who dont lie to me and who arent 2 faced. one has alread moved to tennesse (I live in texas) and the other one is moving to oklahoma in july. PLEASE HELP I feel so alone

Think of the positive side. High school years are the best years of school life.

Just try to connect always with your best friends especially now that you haven't made friends with your new classmates yet. You can tell your best friends through phone or mail about your daily happenings when you will start your high school years. It will then be like they are still by your side and you can continue sharing with them and enjoying life with them.

This may seem shallow but from my past experiences..

if your hot, get a popular boyfriend a couple of grades up.

if your not, sorry I have no advice.

I started high school this year. I am going to the tenth this year. People will change, will be two faced, b*tches and assholes and everything else. Chicks talk. Dudes talk. Sometimes you will feel all alone. I just found out his year that my best friend was a whore and tried to f*ck every guy I got with just because she wanted to get there faster. But you will have new experiences. You'll overcome alot of things. Running from them will only keep you running from things in the future. Sometimes, adults don't realize how HARD high school is. There is just as much if not MORE drama than anywhere else. But in high school, you will be able to define yourself and become the woman that you know you are. It can be hell, but it's fun. Keep me updated. If you need a friend, I'm here. ww.

i think all these other answers have covered what i was going to say but if you have any tips on eigth grade.. i could use them!!

Just be yourself an d hang out with the friends you hung out with in Middle school i promise you if you make good choices and play a sport in high school you will get a good education and make a lot of friends.. Good Luck 8 )

well the good thing is that you're only in the 9th grade. which means you can start off new. if you were going to start later it would be harder to make friends because everybody would already have their own groups. so just try new things and join clubs or sports. and as for drama, there is still going to be some. just try to ignore it. life is to short to fight for stupid things.

first you should relax. Im going to the 11th grade and middle school was like hell to me too. In high school you will have new friends and go through new experiences and dont listen to other people who said get a boyfriend trust me your life in high school would be better with out one you may like someone but dont let that get in your way of succeding in school and you should always follow your dreams

im in high school as well, grade 11.. things that bug older people
-dont stop in the middle of the hall or walk super slow
-smile to people in the hall, dont be self centered..

umm, in grade 9 i was really self consious.. you gotta realise that high school is just a bigger version of public school, dont act immature, you have to grow up in high school, keep up with the work make friends that you can trust and dont mess things up with them..

hahaha opergw I hate when people stop in the hallway. they seriously just stop dead in their tracks and start talking. but anyway, be chill, of course your gunna have upperclassmen scream freshman and stuff but thats highschool:] its like, initiation kindof a ...welcom.just not you know? stick with friends ull be fine:] it goes by fast so enjoy it

I didnt want to go to highschool either because one of my friends moved to qld ( I live in w.a ) and another went to a totally diferent school for the first few weeks I was sik with a tummy ahce but once you go youll make new friends. dont let any one influence the way you think of course there will be those b*tches and stuff but dont try to be like them just be you if you still dont make friends have a party and invite people who yyou think will make great friends

I stared high school this year.. in year 8 I thought it would be terrible but these 6 weeks have been awesome im enjoying it so much.. dont worry you will fit in.. make new friends and enjoy life.. thats what I did I live in w.a and in eyar 8 at the moment so dont worry about it.. if you need anything else just send me a message

High school was suckyyy, fights wit other schools and sh*t, just go on and on, the teachers were bs, they always lied to us, which got us into sh*t, they forced us to skip, and now I get to go bk after the summer, I wud do and e thing to transfer haha

hey I felt the same way as when I first started high school but loads of other people feel the same as you do so just stay positive and just start a conversation with some people then you will make loads of friends and by the way good luck
