Have you called the vet yet? They will definately have the best ideas and maybe some special treatments to speed up the healing process. Keep applying cold wraps and running cold water over it to reduce the swelling,
Don't put any extra weight off her or work her even if she seems better. Wait a while.
I highly reccomend calling the vet for more options and a careful examination.

Ok so I have a female paint horse and she was tied up and she freeked so she hurt her leg on a hay troph made out of wood and now its swolen and we have put hydrogen peroxidde ,bactracine, and blue kote on the kuts. And on the swolen part we have held...
the cold water hose up to it for 10 minutes at a time and she hurt it yesterday she doesnt limp today but yesterday she didnt limp but keep most of her weight off of it but my mom is going to get horse asprin what else should we do?
