Help me to solve this hard riddle

There where 3 men each with only one arm living together. One day they get a knock on the door, it was the post man with a large parcel...

Upon opening this parcel they fnd it has a fresh human arm in it.

They take this arm to the garden, dig a large hole and bury it.

Upon returning to the house they smile and say thank you...

The answer I am looking for is who are the men, for what reson dd they get the arm, and wy did they do what they di upon receiving it.

umm.. I don't know.. sry...

Three roommates and they lost the forth roommate because he died a brutal death- and so in the process a arm was cut off somehow and got lost.
But they buried him anyways.
Later hence the delivery they got the arm- went to the graveyard and dug up the grave and placed the arm into the casket and buried it again.
And returned and was happy they found and buried all of him.

Really- I have no idea what the real answer is- but this is what I came up with out of my own head. I think it at least works..
