Help me. i dont know what subjects to do

hey! im in yr 11 and most of my subjects are really good the only thing is I hate food tech and I really wanted to do ancient history...to do ancient history (which im extremely interested in) I have to drop hospitality which I need (I wanna be a cake...

decorater or pastery chef). I dont want to drop out (its getting really stressful at the moment) but every time I hear someone talk about ancient I feel sick in the stomach cause I wanted to do it!!! What I wanted to know is not whether I should drop hospitality to do ancient but how do you actually choose which subject you want to do without regreting your decision. thankss : ] p.s nice comments would be good as im pretty stressed out

I'm certainly not in year 11 anymore (that's putting it mildly) but I'd say GO FOR ANCIENT HISTORY.

One thing you'll never regret is choosing things that you know you like to do. Sure, take the subjects that are necessary for whatever you choose to be later on ... but that should leave room for 'extras' - and in your case, that sounds like ancient history.

And, as others have pointed out, doing well in a subject like that is bound to interest prospective employers, when the time comes.

I think you shud do the history 1,its sumthing you r interested in so therefore you shud get better results,emm why cant you do both subjects?

I'm in year 11 too and have to choose subjects as well...
I say you take ancient history.
It will look better on your CV than hospitlaity. You never know, you may change your mind when you get older and deicde you don't want to do work involving any type of food.
Seriously, history will keep your options open. When you try to find jobs in the meantime, employees will be interested to see that you've taken history. I can promise you that you'll have an advantage over all those who have taken subjects like hospitlaity.
I understnad how hard it is picking subjects...it's taken me weeks to decide...and I'm going to take history, even though I don't really find it that interesting.
But if, as you say, you're really intersted in it, then you'll probably excell in it and do really well- getting a high grade in history is sure to raise some eyebrows!
I think that hiistory will be more of a challenge and you really shouldn't regret it-if oyu don't take it, you'll probably regret not taking it!

DO go for ancient history - you'll never regret that choice!

I studied ancient history... and then became a primary school teacher. Of course I didn't need much ancient history in that job, but I still enjoy reading about it,and some day I hope to travel to Rome and Greece.

thankyou very much 4 your advice...currently trying out ancient history...lets see if I like it as much as I think I do...p.s can't do both as they are on the same line (meaning they are on at the same time)
