Hairy tongue

I have never smoked and im 13 years old, but I used to hang out with a ton of my dads friends that smoked at parties and my dad smoked until I was eight or nine. but I got stuck with this fuzzy tongue from just breathing in all that smoke!!! im scared...

to kiss because I think he will get the wrong impression of me and/or get sooo grossed out. how can I get rid of this light fuzz on my tongue?

Your hairy tongue is caused by a fungal overgrowth. Not a serious condition but it can be embarassing. Like others said use a tongue scraper and have good general oral hygene and it should clear up. It isn't really hair so don't try using a razor on it. Smoking can contribute to this overgrowth but more often it is caused by antibiotics killing beneficial bacteria and allowing already present fungi to flourish.

what the f*ck? how do you have a hairy tounge? and if it is hairy you didnt get it from second hand smoke, just shave it I guess use a bic razor(make sure its clean)

Try a tongue scraper. You can find them in the same places that sell toothbrushes and toothpaste.

sorry to say but you dont get hairy tongue by smoking...
I've been smoking for 5 years now and I dont see any hair on my tongue ( I used to smoke 3 packet a day, now its about 1) I guess just use a tongue scrapper or a razor with protection (Wilkinson sword)

I dont think you got hair on your tongue from smoke. See a doctor. The fact is, is that your not 100%sure of what is on your tongue or how it got there. Definately maintain cleaning your tongue w/a scraper and keep a clean mouth in general, but if I were u, I would so be at the doctors office. Tell him when you started seeing this and I'm sure they can figure something out. Good luck.

you just need to clean it
