No you should not.

No offense to any theists out there but many religions prey on guilt.

You really hit upon something with this question. When I was a lad kids were considered better if they were religious. Lots of times teachers, scout leaders, coaches, etc. were saying that someone was a great person and went to church every Sunday, attended Bible study, was in their church Choir or was an alter-boy/girl, etc. Religious kids were held up as an ideal. The obvious implication being that if you didn't do these things than you were less good than more religious kids.

I can remember making excuses for not going to church because I felt guilty that other kids were more active in their church than I was. When I was 12 I felt a great deal of guilt when I started to question Christianity. I remember vascillating back and forth for 2 weeks between not believing in God and praying as hard as I could for God to show me the way. At the time (cold war) Atheism was equated with Communism and our ideological enemy the USSR. At times I even felt traitorous for questioning God since I thought of America as a Christian nation and the USSR as an atheist one.

People should be able to make up their own mind without duress. That is the whole point of freethought.

dont feel guilty just because you dont have the same beliefs as someone else, you can think whatever you want. i dont believe in any of those things either and even though my family doesnt go to church or anything, anyways, when i told my mom she was all mad and stuff but she got over it so whatever. just follow your heart and dont let other peoples opinions make you feel guilty.

YOU NEED TO HONOR YOUR PARENTS, AND LISTEN TO THEM, THEY WILL LEAD YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. IF YOU DONT CHOOSE HIM(JESUS) , NOW, IN THE END, HE WONT CHOOSE YOU, AND IT WILL BE TOO LATE FOR YOU. SO OPEN UP YOUR HEART AND EXCEPT JESUS, IT WILL BE THE BEST DECISION OF YOU LIFE. AND YOUR LIFE TO COME.

Well, it's a good thing that Hitler didn't have a son according to your answer...
In any case, no, no you shouldn't feel guilty about your beliefs, you should have pride in them. Don't flaunt them everywhere though, you know those people, the ones who try to convert the world to their correct religion. Just have some pride in what you believe in, even if it's nothing at all.

there is only one way and thty is thru jesus christ. you can believe what ever you want, but in the end. you will bow to him, but sadly , it may be to late. except him now, while you are given the chance. we can believe all day there is no god or no religion.but , regardless of our opinion, he will be the ultimate decision. and i choose to choose him now.

God is real, and he is spirit, hopefully one day you will find him... without him in your heart.. Christianity is just a religion... Jesus is life... and he will draw you...by his spirit,
hopefully when this happens, you will be ready to respond... And maybe, your parents will be able to trust him until this happens.. Trying to make you believe, will not work, and will drive you further from the truth. Life without him, can lead you into many paths, which can be very painful, it would be his will to protect you from these things... but, sometimes we have to learn the hard way, and once we do, the lessons are not forgotten. God be with you, until you find your way.

Don't EVER feel guilty because you don't feel what others tell you to feel, because you don't think what others tell you to think, or because you don't believe what others tell you to believe.
Find what YOU believe in and be true to that. The greatest thing you can be in this life is YOURSELF.
The people who are truly connected will not preach at you, rather they will encourage and support you to find out who you truly are.
Use what others say (myself included) as a guideline, but at the end of the day be Yourself and don't be ashamed of what You believe.
Good luck!
