Getting rid of weeds, is it ok to use an herbacide? There was a breakout of weeds and other nasty plants in my yard due to the heavy spring raings here in Florida, and I'm looking to get rid of the weeds permanently. Is there a weed killer or weed garden spray that I should get? Thanks!

I think there are pet and environment safe weed killers available on the market. These are probably more gentle on the rest of your plants.

There are several types of herbicides and different types work on different types of plants. Some of them are used to stop the germination of plant seeds. Roundup type herbicides target almost all weeds. I think some herbicides have a tendency to kill all the nutrients in the soil so you might consider asking someone in your local garden store about the best product to use in your area.
