Getting my tonsils out, does it hurt?

I was wondering if any one got their tonsils out and does it hurt cause I might get mine out and I want to know if its going to hurt a lot or just a little

no, no, no. it doesnt hurt at all I can promise you. they just tell you not to eat anything thing for something like 12 hours then they put you under local and then your away with the fairies for a while whilst they remove them. they wake you up shortly after and let you eat something cold like ice cream lol. its fun. I enjoyed haveing mine out I got looked after soo well. it hurts a little for a couple of hours that is it.
