What's a good way to get rid of a scar?

I have some scars on my arm and I wanted to know how I could possibly get rid of them? my friend told me they'd eventually go away, and that it would take like, 6 months. is there any way I can speed that up? thanks<3

Try Mederma. I used that on some of mine. Neosporin Scar Solution patches really help. I used both. I had horrible scars after surgery and used the Neosporin first, then the Mederma to finish them off. Hope this helps. :D
