Friend shoplifting

Well, my best friend always shoplifts and I love her to bits but she always does it and I always have an police record from a few years ago and I don't want to get caught, cause they'll blame me and not her.

What should I say to her 'cause I still...

I think what's most important here is that you are protecting yourself. Tell her that under no condition will you go anywhere with her if she plans to shoplift. The last thing you need now is to sully your record again. Let her also know that you're concerned about her getting into trouble as well, and that it isn't worth it.

If she respects you, she'll stop for the benefit of being able to go shopping with you again.

I agree with Ichibanarky, you will get in just as much trouble, you do need to think about yourself and how this will effect you. I always see the question posted felony and can't get a job do you want to be that person. If she is your friend she should respect you.
Maybe you can be a friend and get her to understand all the negitives this could bring into her life.

I agree - you need to sit down and talk to her and tell her that you can not put yourself in that kind of position and if she values your friendship, she wouldn't either. You already have things on your record, so of course if you got caught things would look like it was you.

Tell her if she loves you and respects your friendship she can atleast not shoplift when you are together.

It all seems so easy to think about but I bet I'd be awful to say and embarsing, but I don't want to sound selfish by losing a friend
