Why do my ears hurt really bad? (read more)

Since I got my concussion my ears have been hurting really bad why? I cracked my head off a wall and blacked out momentarily. i was diagnosed with a stage 3 concussion. I’m homebound from school also.

Maybe your eardrum is disrupted. Also, pain can hit in strange places because it happens to me all the time. I just strained my neck and my ears really hurt on that side because of the pain in my neck spreading. I would get it checked out if you can. Try some pain relievers or some Ice. If that doesn’t work, use heat. Try not to stress your eardrum out too much. (no loud music, don’t go near loud noises, and if people talk REALLY loud around you, tell them to shush) You should also try not to lay on that side because the pressure might make it hurt even more.
