Dyson vacuum cleaner

Is the dyson vacuum cleaner really worth the money? The Dyson is one of the more expensive vacuum cleaners out there and I keep wondering if it will work better than the vacuums I have had in the past. My old one just stopped working so I need to get a new one and was wondering if I should invest in something so expensive.

dysons are worth the money if you own a small business and will be cleaning the facility day in day out..........but for your home, Hoover has come up with very good one's actually........I bought this one at Sam's club hoover 'fusion plus' and its bluish lime green in color.........but damn the thing is awesome, I'm a college student with a dog and with people coming in and out of my house like a daily festival it gets to be a mess, but seriously that hoover is amazing, I never thought I would get so up and all about a vaccuum cleaner but seriously, I looked at all possible options of which one of the good vaccuum cleaners will be finanacially and results supporting, and believe it or not at the time I made a spreadsheet kinda looks pointless now, but hey I ended up with a good vaccuum, make sure you compare sucktion power and go bagless, please go bagless,

I heard the Bagless Stick Shark was good also, but I heard it breaks down quite easily
