Stainless steel

I tried cleaning my stainless steel dishwasher with a low ammonia cleaner and now I can't remove the spot where the cleaner was sprayed along with the runs from that area ... please help??

Are you sure you used ammonia? I've never heard of ammonia reacting with stainless steel. Chlorine on the other hand will react with stainless steel. I ruined a good stainless steel thermos by cleaning it with full strength bleach. Are you sure it wasn't bleach you used instead of ammonia?
