Does a lip piercing hurt?

yeh it has to hurt but how bad

More than most parts of your face, honestly. It is also dangerous so only a professional should do this for you. I know a girl who paralyzed part of her face with a home lip-piercing.

I'd imagine it would hurt a lot more than pericing your ear (and i mean a lot)

My cousin did. She wanted to kill herself... HURTS SO BAD YOU STOP EATING! But if your one tough cookie go ahead!

no it dont hurt i had mine done,had to take it out cause the school didnt like it

It all depends on your tolerance for pain. If you tolerate it pretty well then it shouldn't be a big deal.. if you don't and you're very sensitive.. then my guess would be that it would hurt a LOT.

Lip piercing pain vary on the person like a few people have mentioned before myself. I have got my tongue and some in my ears pierced. I also used to have my navel done (which i no longer have). The ears hurt (especially cartrilage) however my friend who also has that says her nose piercing hurt even more. But my tongue hurt less than the ear! So i would probably guess that lips would hurt a lot more than ear but less than nose. Which is painful. Plus it will be irritating and wish you never had it for the first few days. It is your choice. Good luck

nope not as much as you'd think.
i had mine pierced like 3 years ago now..
all they do is shove the needle through, pull the bar through and screw the ball on. and voila! you have your lip pierced

It depends. It's more of a 'shock' kinda pain. When they put the clamp on your lip you're expecting it to REALLY hurt because the clamp is tight. But it's ok. It's not the worst pain imaginable or anything.

I was sooo scared to get my piercing on my lip done... buut my piercer was sooo nice and I made a snap desision and decided 2 just go with it...it hurt a tiny bit but its never as bad as people say... remember the pain is only for like a second or 2

Well, it doesn't feel good. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, and the most painful part is eating solid food for the week after you get it done. As far as the actual piercing itself, it's a bit of a sting and some pressure...not that bad. You'll survive. Aslo: GET IT DONE BY A PROFESSIONAL. I cannot stress that enough.

they hurt 4 a sec then it is over so you don't worry
