Dog poo, heart worms, & paranoia

I just touched dog poo today and I think that I am feeling a little funny in my chest. Could I have caught heart worms from touching the dog poo?

It would take much longer than that :-)

Transmission of heartworm to humans is extremely rare, and it would take more than just touching infected dog feces to get it, so you can relax. What you are feeling in your chest is very likely anxiety-related!
