Does it really stop after you get your period? I'm 4'9, I want to be at least a little taller...

No, a girl doesn't normally stop growing until they are about 22 years old. My uncle is a doctor and always teases me because I'm 5'10" and I keep saying how I'm done growing, his reply, you have till you're 22 honey aim for the WNBA!!! Don't worry, you'll be growing for a while!!

haha, it owuld be pretty funny though if we all stopped growing at puberty. I would laugh..my little sister got her's when she was 5!!! then I woulda known for sure she wasn't going to be taller than me..except now she's almost 9 and she's up to my chin!!! she needs to stop growing like...now.

I didn't get mine until I was 15. You're normal.

If we stopped growing when we got our periods... I wouldn't have any boobs!

I got mine when I was 7 then 2 years ago they stopped and never came back lol I am sure youll still grow!!! I am 22 and I grew I am still short I am 5'3

NO YOU DON'T STOP AT ALL! I READ SO MANY BOOKS ABOUT GROWING AND STUFF, for your information, growing NEVER stops!! even if you're 22!! your body will keep changing til' you die! there's no way it can stop!!!
I got it when I was 11, now I'm 13, and I still get it! and it feels like I'm kinda growing FASTER!! I was 162 when I got it the first time then til' now I'm 163,7 I reached mom!!! but not yet DAD! I feel SO SHORT next to him!
