im not completely sure.. but I dyed the bottoms of my hair and after a while it got dry and looked bad. just use a hot oil treatment you can buy at any place like cvs. it really helps and only takes a minute each time usuallyy=]

um well I actually just dyed my highlights with semi-permanent dye, and theres been no problems, but the first two weeks or so DONT heat treat your hair, and make sure its conditioned, this does wonders to prevent damage to dyed hair
