Does it get swollen down there when a dog is in heat?

my female dog just got into heat and when I checked her she was swollen down there... is that normal for a dog that is in heat? its her first heat or is it normaly like that down there she is my first dog so I dont know thank you

Yes they actually do that before they start their flow. Are you going to spay? Better get her in fast to your Vet. If not you are into headaches and messy messes and it is not your poor dogs fault but yours for not spaying her! She will bleed ll over your furniture and do anything to find love.
