Do lemon juice really makes skin whiter?

is it really true? because I can't be sure .. what if something happen to my face? please help me .. I want to try to put lemon juice in my face but I'm scared .

lemon juice comes from lemons..
you eat them, they get on your face,
it's natural right?
nothing put in them..
it's not going to harm you..
but only put it on for 5 mins.
otherwise, there shouldn't be any problem.

it can irritate your skin,
make itchy, or a rash..
so if you have sensitive skin,
may not want to, but not much
damage done though, right?
it's just a rash!!
(the most it can do)
