it sounds more like puberty, wait for about one year before starting to worry, its normal to feel real spacy at about 11-15 years old, so good luck
I think its probably a common thing for anyone around your age. There are all of these intense hormones going crazy trying to adjust. It's normal to feel spacey every now and then, you probably have a lot on your mind, or maybe you aren't getting enough sleep, but you probably don't have ADD. I used to think that when I was forgetful and spacey and couldnt stop daydreaming I had ADD too, but I asked a Dr. about it and he said that its different then just daydreaming and being spacey at times, It's more like if you are sitting in a classroom and there is a fan on..and you cant concentrate because all you can focus on is that fan..or some other kind of outside noise, that most people don't even pay attention to because it blends into the environment after a while.
As far as Bipolar, I think everyone feels bipolar at some point. Who doesnt feel like every now and then their mood fluctuates. Bipolar is a little more intense then feeling happy, then being irritable.. It's a period of extreme elation where you almost think you are invincible and you have this overwhelming energy, and no need for sleep, followed by pretty serious depression. Its more switching back and forth between EXTREMES in moods, rather then a little mood fluctuation on a consistent basis. Im not a Dr. but you sound like a completely healthy typical teen.
Yeah, I agree on what the others said, a lot of people get that. I also have something extra to base it on, because I have ADD myself. I can't really add to what the others said, because they have covered it pretty well. Most people space out at times, some are just slightly more spaced out than others.
By the way, if your friends call you a dumbass, they don't sound like friends to me. If they say it jokingly, you should tell them that your self-esteem is suffering (not quite in those words but you know what I mean) because of what they are saying. If they sound like they mean it, it might be time to look for some real friends.

umm I think you are just normal. because everything you said describes me and my best friend anna :D don't worry about it

Do I have add, or am I just stupid?
Send me Fun Mail
for the past few months, I've been beginning to notice that I do stupid awkward accidental things about every day. Here are some problems I have that make me think I have ADD:
- I have always been not-so-great in school, because I just can't focus, so I constantly ask the nearest classmates what is going on. Yet I still get average to bad grades.
- I study for tests, then get distracted and forget all that I just studied, and even if I do study, I still have to rack my brains to remember things.
- I have to think for a few minutes on the way home to remember what my homework that night will be.
- I can't stop daydreaming.
- (one example) I went to the library to get a movie, and while I was searching for it, I would pick up other movies, look at them, put them back, then I forget what movie I was searching for, then 10 seconds later, I remembered.
- My friends have called me a dumbass countless times, and I don't really have close friends at school. I often feel very alone.
- I also feel like I have bipolar disorder, but then again, I'm a teenager with all those moodswings, so I really dont know. I beat up on myself a lot.
I really wish I don't have ADD, I cost way too much money for my parents already, and ADD meds and treatment will just put them more in debt. But please help, is there anyway to fix it myself? I don't want to feel stupid anymore
