In the US, I believe that they stay on your record forever. If, in your country they are removed after 10 years then you could probably answer No. But if there is even the slightest chance that it could be researched and found out, then I'd answer Yes and simply explain that it was a DUI from over 10 years ago when you were younger and less mature. (The prospective employer may appreciate your honesty.)
It may be, too, that it was classified as a misdemeanor. Usually employers are concerned with felonies rather than misdemeanors.
Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
And also, too, to help you to know,
That in knowing you, many others grow!

Do i answer yes on criminal conviction?
More than 10yrs ago I had a drink driving conviction. It is removed from public history caus that's what happens after 10yrs to DUI's. So for example when I have a police check for a job it doesn't show up. So does this mean I have a criminal conviction?...
And if I travel and need to answer that question on a questionnaire do I mark 'yes' or, because it is expunged do I answer 'no'?
I am not trying to hide it as have totally learnt my lesson and have had an absolute clean record ever since - not even a parking fine! so am grateful they got me so young but do need to know this as I don't want to answer incorrectly. No need to lecture as I am aware what an idiot I was and was a child at that stage but correct answers would be great!
