Difference between a 8gb iphone and a 16gb iphone?

I'm asking an iPhone for my bday but the thing is, I don't live in the US. My dads going there next week so he wants to buy it there. The only thing is that we don't have Verizon Wireless or anything here so its wayyy more expensive if you just buy the...

phone. That's why I wanted to know if there is a big difference between the 8GB one and the 16GB one. Does it just hold more songs? -Cus I do have an iPod, if the 8GB holds 2000 songs instead of 4000, it's okay. Anyway does anyone know?

But seriosly, no differnce.

I've got the classic iPod with 80 GB HDD, and I think its greate that I can put so much of my music on my iPod. And together with some episodes of Family Guy and stuff like that, I could actually use more space.
