Go to a salon, or risk killing your hair with very harsh bleach.

anytime you put a chemical in your hair, it will damge it. coloring kits from the store are very, very damaging. i suggest having it done at a salon by getting highlights. some salons use chemicals that are less damging, but it is more expensive.

Hey!!

I just wanted to say YOU CAN DO IT!! I went from dark brown roots and black ends to dark blonde. Here's the steps:

1. Make sure ur hair is in good condition and trim about an inch off of your ends and any layers you have.

2. Use texture and tones by Clairol which is made for African American hair (I'm latina but it leaves the hair so soft because it has extra moisturizer so its healthier then using any other product) Buy the Honey Blonde 6G and leave it on ur hair for 45 minutes. It will range between a honey blonde to a light reddish blonde.

3. After three days take cholestoral creme and leave it in ur ahir for about twenty minutes and then wait exactly a week from the above dye job.

4. After the week is up use Loreal excellence in Medium beige blonde and this will tone down the reddish tones in your hair and leave it a dark blonde.

5. Repeat step three.

6. After the week is up go for Loreal excellence in Light beige blonde and this will further remove the reddish tint to your hair and take it to a light blonde.

If your hair is healthy it will not dry out and loreal excellence is perfect because its made for dry, gray hair. I hope this does as much wonders for you as it does for me. Also when I touched up my dark brown roots, I simply used the light beige blonde and it left my roots a warm medium blonde so that it looks even more natural then before.

Try nto to go for the ashy tones because it'll end up looking like butter. Dark hair is naturally full of gold and reds our goal is to rid of the red but to be as golden as possible.

I went from darker then this first photo of Jessica Alba to the Blonde she also has in the second picture:

with your hair being so dark the only way to be is to bleach it, and unfortunately this is damaging. however if you have not chemically treated your hair before it is ok and will not 'kill' your hair.
DO NOT USE HOME KITS as it will not make a difference in your hair whatsoever!!

good luck blondie happy

first just try having a few highlights in your hair and build from that. depending on the type of blonde you are wanting, the next stage would propbably to go dark blonde or light brown and then keep going light in stages until you eventually reach the colour you were hoping for.

do it in stages. start off with just highlights and then go to maybe a lighter solid colour like dark blonde or light brown and then keep going lighter in stages until you reach the colour you like. Its really the only safe way to do it without TOTALLY damaging your hair happy

go to hello-gorgeous.com and get products from there, there's like a sclae on them don't get 40 bleach stick to 30 it takes a few more times but doesn't screw your hair...you also need a purple or blue toner because if you dont have a toner the colour will go more orange or yellow instead of blonde, the toner just eliminates the yellow color, hope this helps
