How to get custody of my younger sister?

I want to gain custody of my 15 year old sister. I was in the same situation that she is in now at home with arguing, strick parents, and basically being locked in her room from her dad and step mom. my freshman year of high school I had enough and went...

through the courts to become a ward of the court, lived with some family friends and turned out great. I am now 22, married with a good job and want to gain custody of her because all this is starting with her now and her parents. what exactly do I need to do to get this taken care of?

If she is truely being mistreated you should go through children services in your state. That is how I received full custody of my niece.

Yes I agree you have to go through the right channels. If they see a problem then they may give you custody. They will proberbly go through your home and check out your records to make sure your going to be a good role model but if that is all good then you might get her.
Does she want to go with you?

Shes 15, she can move out soon. she is getting at the age were she might experiment with drugs and sex. I would leave her with her family. 3 years and she can leave them.
