Certainly - the Bible says ‘the tongue is sharper than any two-edged sword’ - we must be careful what we say - it can lift up and at the wrong time, completely tear down and even push one to suicide (recent myspace case)…Take care !!

Answer #3

In the holy bible, the 3rd commandment says not to swear. Of course we all do it sometimes, but, thats what the bible says. Some swear words, like hell, arn’t bad if you use them in the right way such as, the very bad man will go to hell.

Answer #4

God doesn’t like when we swear, but He still will love us, even if we make mistakes(which we all do).

Answer #5

it depends the way your useing them, if your just useing them to express yourself then ok, w/e. but if your useing them to hurt someone, well I dont think god exactly appreciates that, but hey we all slip once in a while.

Answer #6

Not all of them, but a good majority are.

Answer #7

[Oppinion] If you look up cuss words in the dictionary, most of them don’t mean anything bad. The only one (in my oppinon)is D-A-M-N. (God forgive me) cause it means “go to hell” other than that I think cuss word are silly. I don’t use them cause I know what each one means, so stuff like the F-word, why say that if I don’t want to get screwed! You get it? I think cuss words are just a way for our society to find something wrong with everything.

Answer #8

Most of the words commonly known as curse (cuss), or swear words; don’t involve any cursing or swearing at all. These words are simply EXPLETIVES (profane slang), and their relative degree of profanity is determined my society, not by God.

The actual meaning of ‘cursing’ or ‘swearing’ would be to vocally and adamantly express hate, condemnation, or general ill-will toward a another person, place or thing; or even yourself. None of which is very nice, so I imagine God wouldn’t like you to do it… but he’ll forgive people of worse…

The only way these words would be AGAINST God, would be if you directed them AT him. According to the Bible, that is THE one & only unforgivable sin.

Answer #9

hahaha cussing is actually not a sin! (unless you use it to intend hurt on someone) but using the lord’s name in vain is.
