Where are these cold sores coming from?

why do I keep on gettin cold sores like once or twice almost every year. I dont kiss or do any of that other stuff so why do I keep gettin them. where are they coming from?

Some people are just prone to them. I have a younger brother with severe mental disabilities and has obviously never been intimate with a girl... and he gets them fairly frequently. I don't get them at all, so I honestly couldn't tell you where they are coming from. Perhaps certain foods or something in your diet can trigger them? Maybe stress? Google it and research it a little, I'm sure you'll find some info

Cold sores are caused by having a type of herpes in your blood. You can treat the coldsores by putting tea tree oil on the moment you feel the tingle. It doesnt make the herpes go away, it just gets rid of the sores - and pretty quickly if you dont allow any of the blisters to burst.
Usually you get herpes from other people.
I am not sure but I heard you can get herpes from dogs licking you (if the dog has herpes- obviously)

Don't fret, I get them all time and no I do not have herpes. Some people get them because they have a cold. It's the a natural defense to get rid of the sickness. I usually only get them in winter and it's always when I'm getting over a cold.
