I just want to say that I commend you and you do not have to try to be Christian. Repent and tada! you're back in the kingdom and the angels throw a party lol. I went through a similar thing with backsliding myself and an important thing is to never allow yourself to get condemned.

I do have some tips for getting back on track though. Change your circle of friends, surround yourself with those who will build you up, speak the Word concerning you, and not let you go back to your old ways. Get rid of any people who will bring you down and try to drag you back to where you were. Also change and monitor what you allow into your spirit (music, conversations, movies, shows, books, magazines, etc). Instead, be filled up with the Holy Spirit and the Word. Allow no room for any ungodliness to have a seat in your spirit. Separate yourself from the world. Guard your heart, and through the Word begin to become transformed with the renewing of your mind. One of my favorite sayings is that Your life will follow the direction of your attention. Guard what you meditate on in your mind: Romans 8:5, Philippians 4:8, Psalms 19:14, Colossians 3:2. Continue to die to your self, your wants, and your desires on a daily basis. God is faithful, He will be your Help that you need to get back to your good ways. Hope I helped!

Changing your bad ways, means having a change in heart. If you have a change of heart, anything is possible. Trust me. You have to want to do the right thing agian. If you really want it, you will just do it. Also that means staying away from the things that you used to do. Dont put yourself in any situation that can tempt you. Hope that helps! good luck!!

Oh I agree you can. Being truly 'bad' isn't generally very fun, but a lot of times, people call things 'bad' that aren't actually 'bad', but rather, they're simply labeled as 'bad' from a religious perspective.

Bad ways? do NOT let the thought of a higher judgement cloud your perspective of a happy life. Look if you need to smoke pot or torture yourself or curse to be happy *shrug W.E anything crazy, just do it! Because when it comes down to it theres no proof of a god, but you cant disprove it. Imagine youve been holding back partying for nothing! Do what you injoy, and live for today. And *Shrug* If theres a god he would understand your choice completely, because im sure is there is one, hes not a blood thirsy crazy person!

Changing bad habits is an uphill battle all the way. . . Last thing Satan wants you to do is find it easy. . . pray a lot when tempted pray over time you will become stronger and stronger but at the same time old habits will become second nature so when you pray ask for wisdom and pray Gods will be done. . .
Did I mention that hill makes everest look like a mole hill. . .

If you want to be good, then you have to beat yourself up for being bad. An alternative, would be to question your beliefs.

Isn't it possible you've been lied to your entire life, and there isn't actually anything wrong with having fun?

Hi ! I suggest getting back into the Bible and back into a good Praise-filled, Bible teaching church to get those batteries recharged ! - what I know to be true: God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn't good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God's great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn't have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it's so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God's free gift to man - Jesus...Hope this helps you !!
