You should start them now in small pots inside, then plant them after frost. Usually you plant them isnide about 3 weeks before last frost date. You need plenty of room for them outside, lots of sunlight, and good fertile soil on the acidic side.

No, no shade at all, these are full sun lovers, meaning at least 6 hours a day. Afternoon sun is better than morning sun so plant them in a south or west side of your house.

Can you plant watermelon in any area? and is it really hard to plant watermelons wherever you are? Because I bought some in walmart haha (they were only like 97 cents) and I decided to try to plant some I just want to know if I even can.
