Buddhists believe in reincarnation. Basically the same idea as Hinduism except that with each life you move higher and higher up and the aim is to become a Buddha, who is someone who doesn't allow his/her emotions to control his life. Buddhists believe you can achieve this by meditation and controlling your mind. I have attended a fair few Buddhist meditation sessions but haven't found them useful at all.

God is someone who created the universe and was never man, where as a Buddha is someone who was a man in his previous life but achieved ultimate enlightenment. Buddhists don't believe in a God.

Buddha isn't a deity... its a man (a.k.a. - Gautama Buddha, Prince Siddhāttha, Siddhartha, etc).

Buddhism is an atheistic religion.

Errr... unless you believe that the three parts of that whole 'Holy Trinity' thing, are the same entity...

Buddha was a real man who became Enlightened and taught others to do the same. God is an imaginary being. And no, Buddhism doesn't teach reincarnation or that the Buddha should be worshipped as a god.
