Why do we buy bottled water from soda companies?

OK, WHAT ABOUT THE BOTTLED WATER??? I WATCHED THIS THING ON 20/20 WHEN THEY TESTED THE BOTTLED WATER, AND THEY SAID THAT IT WAS MAINLY TAP WATER, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PEPSI AND THE COKE COMPANIES THAT ARE BOTTLING THE WATER? THERE HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF...

CHEMICALS IN THEIR BOTTLED WATER RIGHT... YA'LL THINK ABOUT IT AND GIVE ME YOUR ANSWERS AND I AM GOING TO GO AND SEE WHAT KIND OF INFO THAT I CAN DIG UP ON OUR GREAT BOTTLED WATER.

I think that bottled water is addictive. I heard they added sodium or something to it to make you want more of it. I can honestly say that I can drink a bottle of bottled water in almost 10 seconds flat because it is so good, but with tap water, I can't do that unless I'm really thirsty. I also read on Yahoo that Dasani is bottled from the same sources as tap water-- yet why does it taste so different:? I am one of those people who can tell the difference in the tastes of bottled and tap- some people say it all tastes the same. Do you think it tastes the same?

It has been proved plenty of times that bottled water contains a lot of pesticides,heavy metals etc,despite their heavy claims.

To me my own tap water through a filter (the one on my fridge or a Pur filter on my faucet) tastes pretty good.

If you think about things it is rather obsurd that we pay more for water than we do for gasoline because we have to put it in little bottles and ship it to stores in trucks.

Yeah, some bottled waters add a few minerals to make it taste a little better but basically bottled water is usually filtered tap water anyway.

Of course Perier or San Pelegrino are a different story. They actually are distinctive and a beverage in their own right.

My bottled water doesn't cost much. I get it on sale.
