Many of the answers that we seek, may not be available to us, until afterward. Or until we are with the Lord. One thing is for sure, things are going to change at some point in time, exactly how and when, no one knows for sure. There are many different theories out there, even within the Church. And the bible says that even Jesus does not know the day nor the hour, when this change will come to pass. Only the Father in heaven knows. So, with that in mind, I agree with the posters above, that we need to be ready at all times. This is what a Christian is to do, and has always been the goal, we are to stay in union with the Holy Spirit, to learn how to be led by him, so that we know what he wants us to do. If we do this, the rest will fall in place, as it is predicted. It is not up to us, our job is to listen to the Spirit and follow his directions. Gods job, is to bring his word to pass.

We already have strange weather patterns, unexplained events, wars on top of wars, people dieing all around us, multitudes leaving this world in a days time.

Do we need any other signs?

The main thing that we need to be concerned about is,

IF JESUS COMES TODAY, AM I READY TO MEET HIM???

ac92 - you can see from these answers that there is some pretty complicated debate going on about the end of the world. I think the key thing to remember is that if you are a Christian, Jesus is your Lord and He loves you. He is in charge of the current time, the end of the world and the future. It is all in His hands, so don't panic - He's the one who loves you, after all!

Having got it clear that it's not something to dread, I do agree that it's a good idea to study a good book which explains the symbolism of Revelation, which is so alien to modern thinking. I hesitate to recommend a book, as there are so many different interpretations (see above). So I suggest you ask a family member, youth leader or pastor to recommend one which explains the way your own church thinks about it. I can see you've been reading about it but you're best to get some advice about what to read - the differences in opinion can be plenty confusing!

***a man will come to decieve many he is the antichrist he is the deciever he wants to rule the world and he will try to control it with this device that is a microchip which is starting to be implanted on the skin of animals I can not say if its same kind of microchip but its to get people use to the idea.
I'm well versed in the Scripture. . . . . . .
And before you quote Revelations remember it is NOT a book about some distant future end of the world It is a book wrote to 1st century Christians who were considered outlaws and it was considered a penalty of death. So the book tells in code of what is happening and about to happen. . . . Not 1900 years later but the 1st century. So study your words well. . . . . And this is in connection with THE RAPTURE not a rapture where does the 7 years come into it. . .

***It is NOT a book about some distant future end of the world. Instead, it's a symbolic story about the Jewish wars with Rome. The 'desecration of desolation' refers to Caligula errecting a statue of himself in the Jewish Temple in the mid 1st century.
I knew that. . . .

One thing to remember when reading revelations ac92. Who it was originally wrote too, The 1st century Christians. . . at the time Christianity was against the law and it was a book written in code you could say. . . much of the stuff that was written was either Happening or would happen soon for the Christians of that century. . . . When Jesus comes again it will be without warning like a thief in the night.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
(1Th 5:2 KJV)
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
(2Pe 3:10 KJV)

We will not be given signs that the end is near:
Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
(Luk 12:40 KJV)

Do not worry about when the end comes but How you plan on living till it comes. . . . it could be any moment now.

And the Rature is never mentioned in the Bible. The concept of ‘The Rapture’ was construed from a dream that one Margaret MacDonald had in Scotland in the 1830s.

But the concept of the 7 year until the end is a man made concept with no Biblical backing. . . And its Raptus. . . . or ἁρπάζω (harpazō) in Greek. Pre Trib. . . . Are you talking about Tribulation. . . . . θλίψις (thlipsis)
thlip'-sis
From G2346; pressure (literally or figuratively): - afflicted, (-tion), anguish, burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble.
So why the 7 years when God can be done with it?
Oh this is interesting. . .

I think the world is going to come to an end, being a christian also. The book of Revelation is confusing for anyone to read... even the best preachers out there just because it has so much symbolism in there. You have nothing to worry about though with the end of the world because you will be raptured out. As a christian I believe the trumpet will sound, the dead in christ shall rise and all believers who are saved will be raptured out in the twinkling of an eye... then the antichrist will come and reign for a thousand years, then jesus will come back and defeat him once and for all.

People have been predicting the end of the world for a long, long time. I choose not to listen to those people. It is also said that the end will come as a thief in the night. No one really knows the answer to that. Just professing to be a christian does not mean that you are one of the chosen. I know a lot of people whose daily actions deny that. Be the best person that you can possibly be. But don't forget to enjoy life. we weren't put here to suffer. We do that to ourselves. Keep the Faith.

the anti christ does come, but saved people will not see the antichrist.

The people who are left after the rapture will not be able to identify the antichrist and most likely identify him as Jesus Christ. After all Satan does appear as an angel of light

Not all of us believe in the Bible. For those of us that don't, we have to accept the scientific answer.

Yes the world (earth) will come to an end in several billion years when the Sun expands into a Red Giant star and consumes everything through the orbit of the earth.

my advice lol is dont read revelation by yourself haha its too confusing. lol but yes the world will come to an end some day and the believers will go to heaven and the non-believers stay on earth.. they have 1 last chance to except God in their life. during this time which I think is 8 years or so. HORRIBLE things will happen. water will turn to blood. there will be plagues etc.
this can happen ANY time so be prepared happy

Sadly, few Christians know what Revelation actually is.

It is NOT a book about some distant future end of the world. Instead, it's a symbolic story about the Jewish wars with Rome. The 'desecration of desolation' refers to Caligula errecting a statue of himself in the Jewish Temple in the mid 1st century.

But the end of the world hype is exciting and sells books.
