Best brand of electric shaver?

What is the best brand of electric shaver? I am tired of shaving with a straight razor, and this year, am asking my wife for an electric shaver. So what's the best one? Norelco, braun, or?

I found a site that listed a few of the better ones - I use a mach three myself, so don't know much about electric shavers.

Rated best among foil electric shavers for men were the Braun Syncro 7680 and the Activator 8595.

Among rotary electic shavers, the best rated ones were the Norelco Smart Touch XL, and the Norelco Speed XL.

If I may give my two cents, Steve if your skin is considered sensitive by even a thread of a comparison, I'd stick with the normal razors and get the Fusion if you want, it actually is a pretty good razor, I have really thick shave, and its not like my skin is very sensitive, I can never work with electrics because they make your skin toooooo dry and flaky, so me and a lot of my friends who have used electric shavers in the past, they have caused irritation, acne, or some bumps and redness along the way........

I'd really think it through, because if you're going to go for it, might as well go for the good stuff, and if you're having and buy one with lotion or gel embedded into the shaver, I think there's a couple of them out there with that capability.......

just thought you should be aware of what you might be getting into......
