Whats the best camera brand to buy?

I wanna be a fashion photographer and im little to young to have those major big time camera well my dad wont get me one till 11th grade
For christmas I want a coolpix..
So whats the best digital camera

There are a lot of good ones out there. Olympus, Nikon and Canon are all excellent. I would pick up a good used SLR, if you have the chance. Lots of pawn shops have a variety of cameras that are in good condition, for ok prices. The point and shoot cameras won't give you the experience and quality that you want compared to an SLR. Have fun!
