it says to wait 2-8 mouths. In that time it allows it to heal. I have had mine in for about 2in half ouths. stil not heal but i got it changed. it depends on your body. mine rejects them for about a year then over night it is fine and never have a problem with it again.but they said might as well have it look cute then having something i dont want. but you should probaly wait intell it dosnt hurt and any redness is gone. then you can go in and they will talk to you to see if it is healed. hope this helps
