Back walkover/handspring

</3 Asked by ohhsocute about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

I can easily do a back bend like a back arch, however you want to say it, but anyway, thats easy for me. but when I want to kick over into a back walkover, I cant do it. I want to learn over the summer, and I dont want help from a gymnastics coach...

because I cant afford one, and besides, I need to learn on my own. how can I be able to do this? I made it for cheerleading, so this will be necessary and I dont want the coaches to be mean to me.

Well you said you can do a back bend, is that from a standing position? If so, then try putting one foot on something like a bench or chair and then go into your back arch it should be easier to kick it up, and over. Thats how I learned. Just keep trying. It will come eventually!
Good luck.

i got bored.. dont ask lol Answered by natterz95 on Apr 18, 2009, 02:48PM

I can't do one either, but I've gotten it once. you have to get your hands close to your feet and kick as hard as you can. I usually sit there in a handtstand with my legs split and I can't get myself to go over. I have to be on like a foot tall bock and then I can do it -_- lol good luck.
I can't help with the back handsprings tho lol
