How do you audition for a movie?

How do you audition for a movie? I have always wanted to be in a movie.

got to find casting calls in your area, you just gotta hope you live in a place where they do a lot of productions, best way is to go online and find out what movies are being filmed in your area and then emailing the production assistants or casting directors........sometimes they'll be looking for certain features in casting calls so don't get disheartened, they always need extras, and might I add they pay pretty hefty for extras also, and all you do is sit around most of the day.........

I was an extra in The Alamo, and Man of the House.........fun gigs, but like I said if you wanna have a cameo atleast, you gotta talk to casting directors to c what they are looking for in extras and Cameo roles..........

places like NYC, Chi-town, DC, Boston, Houston, Austin and mostly all of cali and Florida are very attractive places for filming productions.........I wanted to go to audition for The Departed Summer 05 but I was too busy with med school shindigs.........

once you start, you'll increase your chances by having headshots taken and monologues prepared b4 you enter the auditioning scene, it'll give you a leg up on the newbie competition, plus ENERGY ENERGY ENERGY.........they'll take you 90% of the time if you present enthusiasm and energy, and believe it or not being gutsy and unique helps out even more, whether it be a weird hat or something striking about your dress......thats how I got the extra role in Man of the house. I had an Orange Wig on........LOL
