Are zebras black with white stripes, or the other way around? I've often wondered. Ever since I saw the movie madagascar with my kids, I've been confused. Any ideas?

and yes there skin is black BUT polar bear skin is black but you dont call them black do you? and you judge horses and dogs etc via there primary hair colour AND some zebras are born with genetic variations that make them all black with white stripes, or mostly dark with the striped pattern only on part of their coats but the majority are white ^_^

Zebras are actually white with black, and magichalo1, the chicken is the egg and the egg is the chicken.
