well by looking at your photos on your profile, i am guessing that you are a gymnast or cheerleader… yes you are in theory underweight as your BMI works out to be 17.1 approx…and average ‘healthy’ is between 18 and 25. but if you are a gymnast or cheerleader you probably have a very active life..so i dont thnik it is much to worry about…However if you are worried you should talk to a professional and see what they think..you may benefit from gaining a bit of weight as it can make you stronger…but try and not worry about your fat/calorie intake…you are young with your whole life ahead of you, and you dont want to get obsesed trust me, once you have fallen into that habbit, its hard to get out!… just have a healthy diet (eat a variety of food subsatnces with all the essential nutrients etc) and exercise… take care :)

At your age, you need to consume at least 1800 calories. Try to make conscious effort to eat more, and try to eat healthier food. Cinnamon roll, pretzel sticks, and granola bars are almost empty calories - they only give you sugar and not enough of the necessary nutrients. Your feeling cold and your fainting during practice is your body’s way of screaming, “Eat more! Eat more!”

Start eating cereal (with 1% milk) for breakfast, have a sandwich for lunch, and something original for dinner. The best foods do not come in bars. Count calories ahead if you’re not used to eating what you’d consider big meals, and assure yourself you’re eating like you’re supposed to. Don’t worry about consuming fat because I think you can have up to 40 grams of fat per day - so not consuming any fat yesterday is an all-around bad idea.

You will be gaining weight at first, but don’t worry about it. At 5’6” and 108 lbs… you’re nowhere near fat. You could weight 120 lbs and still look healthy.

hey hun, you should really be eating a lot more than that especially if your active. I know I’ve been there before and it’s not great, if you keep eating less and loosing weight your performance level will go down and you will be at more risk of injury, thats what happend to me. you should be eating at least 2000cals a day thats what my nutritionist tells me, and that I could aford to eat more if I wanted. by restricitng your food intake you are slowing down your metabloism which make you burn off the calories and fat slower, your best to eat 6 small meals a day rather than 3 meals a day. if you still find things hard try talking to your coach or doctor or somthing, I always found this web helpful type in b-eat in google and you can ask them anything. hope this helps .

At your age your health could be at risk. Look at my pics and I’m 5’9 and I weight 139. Think about seeing a doctor, you’re starving yourself.

Well first of all, are you constantly worried and panicking over gaining weight? I am, and I also worry about how many grams of fat/how many calories I’ve eaten per day. I don’t consider myself to be anorexic though, as I don’t go to extreme lengths to be skinny. You appear to be underweight though. You really don’t eat enough. I suggest you try and forget about how many calories are in food. If you WANT to gain weight, I think eating healthy but fatty foods is a start. Stuff like peanuts and bread and milk. :)
