What age do you think is suitable for permanent hair dye?

I say 15 or 16 atleast.

My personal opinion is at least 13 for highlights and full dye from 16. That is however how I was raised,so ya….I do think that it is inappropriate for a toddler.

first off I think the whole pageant world is not the world for girls that age at least not in the state it is in now. no little girl should be doing the things there having to do just to keep up. on to the question I am against hair dying all together (personal belief) but as far as what age is sutible for permanent hair dye I would say 18-20 as the minimum. but that is my opinion and the opinion is going to vary. But by dying girls hair that young were teaching them that if they don’t like something about them selves it’s ok we can change it with this magic bottle from the salon and I don’t believe that’s right.

well i don’t really have an opinion on this, i do find children’s pageants to be horrible Ego trips for the parents and bordering on child abuse, sticking an 8 year old into such a stressful situation and expecting them to win or be hated…. anyway, on topic, Hair Dye will mess up your hair sooner or later, it will loose it’s natural coloring and become brittle, so i think whenever one knows and accepts the consequences is the right time….

That’s Toddlers & Tiaras which I find to be a ridiculous lifestyle for a child to live but that’s another story. Highlights and appropriate dye colours at least high school.

toddlers and tiaras is one of the sickest programs i have ever watched but i have seen little kids in my neighborhood though getting their hair dyed. i wanted to dye my hair when i was little but i am glad i didnt because i would have never got to donate it. i say if i ever get a daughter she has to donate her hair 6 times before getting to dye it … hopefully she will be 16 by then.

13 or so. That’s when I started. I don’t think the parents on Toddlers & Tiaras should basically force their little kid to dye their hair.

I don’t know about age-whenever it’s healthy, I guess. I believe in self-experession and I think even at a young age, you know what you want.
