Acoustic-electric or electric?

=) lots of snow. Asked by maggiemaydude about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

So I'm buying a new guitar (just for the fun of it) and I'm really having troubles going back and forth between acoustic-electric and electric. I really like the sound of acoustic guitars but I already have one and as long as I'm getting something that...

plugs in shouldn't I just go fully electric?

I need advice

It really depends on what type of music you want to play. If you already have an acoustic guitar I advise you get an electric, to try something new. It's not like the other guitar is unusable, so go for the electric and have fun with it happy

the choice depends also on whether you like to play lead or rhythm parts. the acoustic provides a deeper tone for chording and will only allow for limited lead playing. With an electric, you can play leads easier, and if you still need depth for chording, you can play with the pickup positions on the electric to acheive a fatter tone for chording.
