Uterine contractions, or the tightening and relaxing of the uterus that allows blood to exit during a woman's menstrual cycle.

Yep, your uterus contracts and it hurts. Take ibuprofen rather than Tylenol, a hot water bottle, and a piece of cheescake. Daytime TV helps, but only if you can yell at the show and get your aggression out.
